Sacred Heart Catholic Church

Another well photographed Elbert Church.  This church fell victim to the 1935 flood that washed the town of Elbert away.  About to fall into the creek when the waters resided, they moved the church to the hill on the east side of the town to its present position.  Lovingly cared for by the Sherman family, This beautiful church is a wondeful sight to see.  I took this shot on a long timed exposure.  The only light that I was able to pick up was aa single starand of small Christmas lights.  This phot is printed on glass by Fracture and it measures 14 1/4” x 10 3/4”
